Takoma Park is a neighborhood in Montgomery County Maryland, and is not to be confused with it’s neighbor across the DC line, Takoma. Takoma Park is located just to the northeast of Takoma. Takoma Park is a lovely residential neighborhood in a park like setting filled with hills and trees, and it has a charming downtown area with several shopping and dining options. The Takoma Park Farmer’s Market is a big event on weekends and attracts people from many surrounding neighborhoods. Real estate in Takoma Park is dominated by lovely Craftsman, Bungalows and Colonials, with the occasional Victorian as well, and they generally sell anywhere between $650,000 and $900,000 depending on size, location and level of renovation.
