If you walked down Florida Avenue NW at the northern end of Shaw 10 years ago, and then left the country and came back today you would think you were in a different city. Bounded by Florida Avenue on the north, 11th Street on the west, New Jersey Avenue on the east, and N Street on the south, Shaw may be the most transformed neighborhood in DC in recent years. Definitely one of the hippest areas, Shaw is filled with new restaurants, cafes, condos, grocery stores and art galleries. Real estate has appreciated significantly in the last 10 years, but with the transformation still happening, the rise is likely to continue in the short term. Real estate styles vary throughout the neighborhood, with Victorian, Federal and Colonial rowhouses, and also many apartments and condos. As always, Pete will be happy to arrange a tour.

Shaw is served by the Shaw/Howard metro.
