Alexandria

Alexandria is a large neighborhood in northern Virginia, located south of Arlington inside the beltway. There are many suburban neighborhoods in Alexandria where buyers can buy large brick center hall Colonials and Ramblers with big yards that attract lots of families, but the most popular part of Alexandria is Old Town. Old Town is a very charming urban center that stretches about 20 blocks from the metro down to the Potomac River. The main street in Old Town is King Street, which is a mecca for shopping, dining and live entertainment. Real estate in Old Town consists mainly of Federal and Colonial townhouses, and the prices range from around $1,000,000 up to as much as $5,000,000. There are also many condos in and around Old Town which attract young people looking for fun in the area and also easy access to DC by metro.


TRANSPORTATION

Alexandria is served by two metro stations: King Street metro and Huntington metro. From either station one can travel north into Northern Virginia or into DC.
